Tourmaline
Tourmaline is a versatile gemstone known for its wide range of colors, including green, pink, blue, and black.
It is widely used in fine jewelry and gemstone collections, with deposits commonly found in granite pegmatites and metamorphic rocks.
Talc – Soap Stone
Huge deposits of high quality soap stone (talc) is found in district Kuram of KPK. The deposits are in the form of lenses, pods and large masses.
Silica Sand
Good quality silica sand deposits to the tune of about 70 million tones has available within the quartzose sand stone and quartzite in Hazara division KPK
Fluorite
Fluorite deposits are available and mined Mekhtar area of Loralai district in Baluchistan.
Himalayan Pink Salt
MDM has obtained mining rights in partnership to a high grade pink rock salt deposit in the Salt Range of Pakistan. The deposit has proven reserves of 2 million tons of rock salt.
Nepheline Syenite
Large deposits of nepheline syenite are found in KPK. Detail exploration has been conducted by the provincial Govt to explore these deposits.
Quartz
Lead – Zinc
Strata-bound lead–zinc deposits are available. After detailed exploration work comprising of geological mapping, geophysical surface, trenches, tunneling & core drilling, a total of 0.49 million tones reserves of lead and zinc was estimated.
Manganese
Significant deposits of manganese are available in District North Waziristan. The exposed length of the ore body is about 62 meter with average thickness of about 6 meter.
Chromite
Pody form chromite deposits are available in KPK province with tens of thousands of tones in proven category. The chromites are found in lenses associated within ultra-mafic rocks along major suture zone
